Hi, I’m Kathryn DeZur.
I’m a poet, professor, photographer, memoirist, essayist, editor, gardener, baker, and mom. I love making things, whatever they may be, and paying attention to the wonders of our world in the process. I’m a huge fan of honoring the objects that bring meaning into our lives.
I’m an award-winning teacher, scholar, and writer, having received two of New York’s highest awards for professors within the state’s public university system: The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activity.
